Using Computer 3-dimensional modelling we create a layout of the hangar and contents including any vehicles that are going to be stored inside the hangar.
We can then investigate various locations for security cameras to monitor doors, windows, or areas of specific interest.
In this particular application, the clearance between two airplanes was to be monitored and recorded so that in the event of inadvertent touching of airplanes would be recorded.
On the left, the camera origin, aiming point and camera properties are entered, and the resulting viewpoint is shown on the right.
Below is the matching image from the security camera as installed in the hangar, monitoring both entrances as well as the clearance between the trailing edge of the Cessna T210 and the horizontal stabilizer and elevator of the Cessna 340A.
